The Zaragoza tram has the most modern technology, aimed at offering an efficient and environmentally friendly service.

From the beginning, ONCE and the DFA Foundation collaborated to provide the tram with full accessibility at the 46 stops along its route.

At all stops, access to the units is at ground level and without a gap between the door and the platform. The tram has 6 doors on each side, 4 of them double so that traffic is fluid.

In addition to the seats reserved for people with reduced mobility, there are spaces for wheelchairs (four per tram), baby or shopping carts. Likewise, there are vertical backrests for those people who cannot sit in a conventional way.

In the design, improvements proposed by ONCE were adapted and the colors of some elements of the Tram were varied. Thus, up to 30 points of color contrast were maintained for people with reduced visibility.

In accordance with the ONCE instructions, all tram doors have a yellow stripe that indicates the limit with the platform. It has some grooves to make it easily detectable.

Inside the tram, all stops are announced in advance. There is a warning button at a suitable height for people in wheelchairs. When pressed, it allows the driver to receive the alert that a person in a wheelchair is going to descend. Thus, it can remain stopped longer.

Intermodality

The interrelation of the Zaragoza Tram with the bus lines of the city, of the company Autobuses Urbanos de Zaragoza, is complete. Both means of transport use the same cards, their price is the same and, if you have a Citizen Card or Bus Card, you can transfer from one to the other during the 1-hour period. Round trips on the same line are not considered transfers.
