Mérida's train station is located north of the city center. It has two floors, although only the ground floor is open to the public. It has information points, ticket sales, vending machines, toilets and a cafeteria. Outside there is an accessible parking area, as well as a taxi rank.
Mérida currently has two daily long-distance services served by Talgo. One in the Badajoz direction and one in the Madrid-Chamartín direction.
The station does, however, maintain important medium-distance services that are covered by Regional Express and Intercity trains. Thanks to them it is possible to travel directly to cities such as Madrid, Seville, Ciudad Real, Badajoz, Cáceres, Don Benito-Villanueva de la Serena, Zafra, Almendralejo or Plasencia.
It offers the Atendo service, a free assistance service for people with permanent or temporary disabilities. You can request it for your Long Distance and Medium Distance trips by calling (+34) 917 744 040.
The free telephone number 900 400 555 is a service associated with the purchase of tickets and the request for the Atendo service for people with visual disabilities.
It allows the purchase, change and cancellation of tickets, as well as the request for assistance Atendo at the time of purchase.
