If you have a disability equal to or greater than 33% or if you are a pensioner over 18 years of age in a situation of permanent disability, you can take advantage of the discounts offered by the Gold Card. It can be purchased at the ticket offices of the stations or in travel agencies, presenting the certificate, the disability card or supporting documentation. It is valid for one year.

CERCANÍAS RENFE: This Renfe service has nine train lines that run through the Community of Madrid. They all leave or pass through the Atocha station. Depending on the zones, you can use the same transport tickets as for the metro and buses.

Only lines C1, C-3, C-4 and C-10 have accessible trains for wheelchair users.

The commuter trains are cheap, fast and very useful for excursions to the outskirts, to the Sierra de Guadarrama and to nearby cities such as Alcalá de Henares, Aranjuez or El Escorial (it is also allowed to transport the bicycle without date or time limitations).

LONG DISTANCE TRAIN - AVE: Madrid, together with 20 other Spanish cities, forms part of the AVE Cities Network, which will allow you to get to know the cultural, gastronomic and popular folklore variety of different Spanish cities, in the same trip. Tourism in Spain is thus opened to foreign countries as a destination as a whole, expanding the offer, expectations and satisfaction of the trip.

Madrid's long-distance train stations are Chamartín and Atocha. In both, the ATENDO service is permanently available for travelers with accessibility needs.
