The airport is located 12 km southwest of Barcelona, it is the second largest in Spain. It has three take-off and landing areas, thus obtaining 3 runways in service. It has two passenger terminals, T1 and T2. Recent modifications in the structure of T2 have merged the old terminals A, B and C into one. The route with the highest passenger traffic is the Madrid-Barcelona corridor. The airport has an assistance system for people with reduced mobility or disability, which must be requested at least 48 hours in advance.
At the airport there are personnel dressed in green jackets with knowledge of Sign Language who, upon request, provide accompaniment for the deaf person who needs it.
From the airport you can request the adapted taxi service, or take access to the Renfe Cercanías train station from T2 through lifts and a walkway. From T1 there is a shuttle bus service. Both the Aerobús and the TMB line 46 bus
