Formerly known as Lavacolla Airport, it is located about 10 km from Santiago. It is the central airport of Galicia and the most important in number of connections and passengers. The last stage of the Camino de Santiago runs through its surroundings.
It communicates with the city by urban bus with a frequency of approximately 30 minutes which, after several stops including the train station and the bus station, ends its journey in Plaza de Galicia, in the very center. If you are a person with reduced mobility, you must notify the responsible company, Freire, 72 hours in advance. Towards the rest of the Galician cities, it is best to take this bus to the center and from here take the train or bus, since the frequency of direct intercity buses from the airport to A Coruña, Lugo, Vigo or Ourense is not high and the route is quite length.
The airport has a free assistance service for passengers with reduced mobility. You can request it by phone or through the AENA mobile application form.
For people with hearing disabilities, AENA has an information and attention line by chat, operating every day from 07:00 to 24:00.
If you are a wheelchair user, we recommend requesting an adapted taxi or eurotaxi in advance or when you arrive at the airport.
