The Abando Indalecio Prieto Station is also known as the North Station or Bilbao Abando (in Renfe suburbs). Located in the center of the city, in Plaza Circular 2, it is one of the terminals that has medium and long distance services, next to the adjoining La Concordia station (Alvia in Abando and Feve in Concordia), connecting with the rest of the community, with other Spanish towns and with Bordeaux and Paris. Both are managed by Adif.
It is an important communication hub as it is also the head of the three lines (C1, C2, C3) managed by Renfe Cercanías in Bizkaia, connecting Bilbao with its metropolitan area (Portugalete, Santurtzi, Orduña...) and with some towns in Alava.
From the nearby Bilbao Concordia station, commuter lines C4f (Bilbao-Valmaseda) and R3b (Bilbao-Carranza) of the province's suburban railway network operate, as well as regional lines R-3 (Bilbao-Santander) and R- 4 (Bilbao-Leon). It has connections with lines L1 and L2 of Metro Bilbao (Abando underground station). It also connects with the city tram (Abando stop). In the nearby streets, several urban buses (Bilbobus) and provincial buses (Bizkaibus) concentrate numerous lines. It has its own taxi rank and parking adapted for people with reduced mobility.
The internal circulation is accessible for wheelchair users and has adapted toilets, lifts and platforms. It houses a cafeteria, post office, bookstore, restaurants, car rental service, luggage carts and wheelchairs.
It has the Atendo service (permanent assistance) for PMR, which also has its own free applications for the Android and IPhone environment, and the Dialogue service for people with hearing disabilities, through Telesor and the free applications in the indicated environments (see links). .
If you have a disability equal to or greater than 33% or if you are a pensioner over 18 years of age in a situation of permanent disability, you can take advantage of the discounts offered by the Gold Card. It can be purchased at the ticket offices of the stations or in travel agencies, presenting the certificate, the disability card or supporting documentation. It is valid for one year.
